Four decades ago, a group of parents got together in a church basement with one goal: to organize social opportunities for their children with disabilities. Today, that small group has grown to serve an average of 400 individuals, in seven Southeastern communities, employing approximately 300 people! REACH was a dream that became a reality for families and individuals living with developmental and intellectual disabilities and delays.
On April 14th, we celebrate 40 years of service! Woohoo!! And, you are invited to celebrate with us at our anniversary party at Elizabeth Peratrovich Hall in Juneau, 7-10 pm. We’re hosting a reception buffet from Breeze In, a no-host bar, silent auction, presentations by several of the wonderful people we serve, a new video about REACH, and will draw the winning tickets in our anniversary raffle! It’s guaranteed to be a wonderful evening. Here’s how you can participate:
- Buy raffle tickets! Prizes include air fare for two from Alaska Airlines, a Canoe Paddle & Trek for two from Above & Beyond Alaska, and Whale Watching for two from Juneau Tours! Tickets are $10 each or 6 for $50! You don’t need to be present to win, but if you come to the party, there is even more fun in store for you!
- Get Tickets to the Anniversary Celebration! Tables of 10 are $450, or you can get individual tickets for $50 each.
Here’s how to get your tickets for both the raffle and the party: Call Joann Flora at 796-7202 or get them from the Canvas Arts Shop, at REACH Event Tix.
Come celebrate with us on April 14th. Thank you for all your past support! We look forward to serving the disability community for many years into the future!
